Everyone has been a victim of a sleepless, tossing and turning night! Trying to get comfortable all night is hard when all you can get is uncomfortable. You become less likely to fall asleep and increasingly more agitated.

The great news is that there are a ot of things you can do to go back to sleep quickly. Some things you can do or take to fall asleep can be harmful so be careful.

There are many side effect inducing chemicals in prescription medication your doctor may prescribe to you. Negative side effects are what these chemicals have. You may feel “hung over” with a headache. You may wake up after taking one of these pills and feel completely out of it. Like an out of it zombie. A pill that causes side-effectis is something you would be better off without.

So what steps do you need to take to get some real sleep? To accomplish falling asleep and staying asleep there are certain things you can do.

One of the first things you can do is make sure that there is no noise in your room. Don’t let the cat or dog in your bedroom. Do not have light in your bedroom. Blackout curtains will keep your room pitch black. Light in the room is one of the worst things you can have when trying to sleep! There are instances of noise that may help you sleep. Some very effective tactics are low volume music or a sound machine. What’s effective about these machines are the lifelike noises they make (birds, heartbeat, babbling brook, ocean waves, rain, etc.).

There are also natural sleep aids like Melatrol that you can take. There are no negative side effects in Melatrol because it’s all natural (unlike prescription medication which are full of chemicals). Melatrol’s main active ingredient is a hormone called Melatonin which is what your body produces to help you fall asleep and stay asleep. These sleep aids are non-addictive and very effective.
